Pedestrian hit in MVA

Oct. 9- A woman, 31, accidentally hit a 62-year-old man with her vehicle on Alumni Drive. She was turning from University Avenue and failed to see him crossing the sidewalk. He was transported to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services and the woman was cited for careless driving.

False alarm

Oct.10- A Campus Cache staff member reported a suspicious 19-year-old male student who they thought was shoplifting. An officer contacted the suspect and found that nothing was stolen.

Taken 2

Oct. 12- A 22-year-old male student reported that his jacket and iPod were stolen from the Student Recreation Center. There are no suspects at the moment and the items have not been found. The investigation is on-going.

B-line

Oct. 13- Residence Life reported an intoxicated 18-year-old woman from Moore Hall at the Moore-Bartlett-Skarland bus stop. Another woman, 17, was assisting her when police arrived on the scene and cited the intoxicated woman for underage drinking.

 The forgotten

Oct. 13- Campus police found an unsecured bike by the Fine Arts Building. It was taken to the UAF police station for safe keeping.

Down the pipe

Oct. 14- Res Life reported an intoxicated 19-year-old Fairbanks man, in Moore Hall to campus police. An officer responded and cited him for consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was arrested and transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center for possessing a marijuana pipe.

Hide-a lot… or not

Oct. 14- Police received a report that a man exposed himself to a woman in the Haida Parking Lot. Officers suspect a possible 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches 220 lb. man. Police have not found him.

You are not the fairest of all

Oct. 14- A 20-year-old male student had the side mirrors of his car damaged in the MBS parking lot. Police arrived at the scene and found an additional nine vehicles with obscene drawings and words written on them through the snow. There are no suspects but police are continuing the investigation.
