The following notes were compiled during the April 22, 2012 Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (ASUAF) senate meeting.
This report is based on the information published by the University Police Department. Individuals arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
There are eight people running for the ASUAF senate. Of those eight, four senators are running for re-election. All candidates are running unopposed.
Representatives from about a dozen UAF clubs sat in Saturday’s sun awaiting the announcement of the winners of the 2012 Student Organizations Awards and Recognitions, or SOAR awards.
Reduce, Reuse and Rock was the theme of the UAF Earth Day Eve celebration on Saturday, April 21 on top of the Lola Tilly Commons.
The New Student Orientation fee was introduced in the 1990s and was originally $25, when the Student Activities Office, Outdoor Adventures, and New Student Orientation were all under one office.
The Student Recreation Center, or SRC, opened on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus in 1994.
The sun is out, the semester is almost over and ASUAF’s Spring Election is almost here.
