UAF residence life has announced that starting fall semester 2016, residents of Cutler Apartment Complex will be required to purchase a meal plan costing at least $295. This week we asked students: What effect do you think this will have?

Allison Brooking Wildlife Biology Freshman“I mean I think its very unfortunate for the cutler residents, they have a whole apartment and its just inconvenient for them to have to purchase food from UAF. I feel like they have the option already so why force them to?”

Deirdre Creed Business Administration Sophomore “I think that will create an outcry for the students who are planning at living at cutler and I think that more students will be looking at off campus housing. My old school Warner Pacific had this problem and the students responded by going to off campus housing.”
