An unnamed individual reported seeing a dark colored tent along the UAF Ski Trails. Curious (and no, they were not cats) they peeked inside the tent and noticed items that, according to them, would indicate a “young runaway girl” had made the campsite their abode. An officer and a CSO responded, found no one at the campsite, and bundled the tent and all its contents down to the UAF police department for safekeeping.

A motor vehicle collision occurred between a UAF van and a driving instruction vehicle along Yukon Drive. The UAF van struck the rear of the instruction vehicle after said automobile, which began to pull away from a stop sign, stopped a second time. The van driver was cited for a failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision. No word on whether or not the van driver will be re-taking driver’s education.

An individual, who had been driving around town trying to help her children fall asleep, parked in the Hutchinson TVC Career Center earlier in the evening. She called the police afraid that she was going to get in trouble for temporarily parking in the parking lot. More importantly, did the kids get to sleep?

An individual reported the unauthorized use of a debit card to make purchases both online and at local off-campus locations. Total charges made against the cardholders account totaled $1085.68. An investigation is currently underway.
