Police Blotter: September 9 – 14, 2015





This report is based on the information published by the University Police Department. Individuals arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Aaron Walling / Sun Star


9/9/2015 10:47 a.m. – Colby R. Hammer, 18, of Lynnwood, Wa. was arrested after he had threatened his roommate with a knife. Hammer was transported to FCC and charged with third degree felony assault.

Minor Consuming

9/10/15 5:26 a.m. – An officer had found Lindsay F. Paulsen, 19, of Tok, AK intoxicated in MBS complex parking. She was issued to appear in court for the minor consuming and was released to a friend.

Traffic Hazard

9/11/2015 12:20 a.m. – An officer found an abandoned vehicle on the Mitchell Expy. The vehicle had been there for over a week and had an AST sticker on it. It was towed and impounded.

Traffic Stop

9/11/2015 2:25 a.m. – Dawn W. Demit of Tananacross, AK was pulled over for a moving violation at Campus Corner Mall. Further investigation showed that Demit had altered the license plate. Demit was cited for driving with an expired registration, and the vehicle was impounded.


9/11/2015 4:19 p.m. – A backpack was reported stolen from the Moore Hall lounge. The suspect was found with the backpack that had a laptop in it, citing that he thought it was his and that it looked like it his. No charges right now.

9/12/2015 11:43 a.m. – Reports of a bike theft from the bike rack outside Hardwood Hall. In between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., the bike lock was cut and the bike was gone. Investigation is still ongoing.

Terroristic Threat

9/14/2015 4:41 p.m. – Threat was left on the UAF business line in the Eielson Building. The suspect was identified, and the Dean of Students is dealing with the suspect.
