Police Blotter: November 22 – December 4, 2013

November 22- Driving with a suspended license
A campus officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The officer discovered that
the driver was driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was taken to the Fairbanks Correctional Center. The man was charged with driving with a suspended license.
November 22- Jammin’ and drinkin’
loud music was coming from a dorm room in the Moore-Bartlett-Skarland complex. When the campus police investigated, they found an underage intoxicated female in the room . The female was violating her conditions of release from a previous incident. She was arrested and taken to Fairbanks Correctional Center for violating conditions of release and underage drinking.
November 24- Intoxicated person needs medical assistance
A resident assistance reported that a resident in Moore Hall was intoxicated and needed medical assistance. Emergency services took the woman
to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and gave her a an order to appear in court for minor consuming alcohol.
November 25- Coca-Cola Bear
An individual reported that a Coca Cola Bear, a large stuffed bear, had been stolen from the Lola Tilly commons. The bear was last seen a few weeks ago. The perpetrator left a note that said, “The bear will be returned when the food gets better.”
November 25- Vehicle break-in
A vehicle owner reported that their vehicle was broken into while parked in the Reichardt parking lot. Speakers and an air compressor were stolen from the vehicle.
December 3- Driving without a license
A driver was stopped by a campus officer for a vehicle equipment violation. The officer discovered the driver
was found driving without a license or insurance. The driver was given a summons and the vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
December 4- Tablet stolen
A tablet was reported stolen. The tablet was last
seen in a backpack in the Davis Concert Hall. The investigation is on going .
December 4- Rollin’ in the momma mobile
A campus officer pulled a vehicle over for driving without headlights on. The officer found that the two individuals in the vehicle were both juveniles and were not
licensed drivers. Police contacted the driver’s mother, and the driver was given a summons for driving without a license.
