Tuesday, February 9

The Sun Star and KSUA are joining forces to promote awesomeness in MBS from 6-8 p.m.!  Come by to learn about becoming involved with student media by hosting a radio show, taking pictures, writing news, opinion and interest pieces and more! -Danny Fisher / Editor-in-Chief

To build on my theme of neato fitness events that I might go to but will more likely wimp out on, stay home and play video games instead, this Wednesday DRAW is hosting a guided yoga session at the SRC. It’s from 6-7:30 p.m. and all you need to attend is an SRC membership. If you’re taking nine or more credits you’ve already paid for a membership, so you might as well go get your money’s worth! This particular flavor of yoga will be focusing on core control, flexibility, and strength.

Wear your blue and gold and let’s cheer the team on to victory. -Sarah ManriquezPhoto Editor

UAF Theater’s performance of Closer will be showing at the Salisbury Theater today at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students in advance, or $10 at the door. If memory serves, I saw a company perform this play in Seattle, and it was very dark, emotional, and compelling — not bad for a story that is, basically, about four people sleeping around and getting in shouting matches. -Spencer Tordoff / Web Editor

Sunday, February 14

Love is in the air and by “love,” I mean the visceral aroma of bloodshed and gunpowder.  That’s right, “Deadpool” comes out this week and if you hurry, you might be able to catch me at Regal Cinemas starting at 9:50 p.m.  It’s Valentine’s Day too, so this could be a romantic outing for you and a significant other!  Now, if you’re wondering where my signficant other will be and why I’m going stag to a comic book based comedy film this Valentine’s Day—that’s none of your business.  Just sit back and enjoy the movie-going experience.  -Kyrie Long / Copy Editor

Monday, February 15
