Good vibes at Party in the Park

Many of the newer Nanooks are looking forward to experiencing campus life and can’t wait to see what awaits them throughout the upcoming school year. Party in the Park heightened this excitement as the University of Alaska Fairbanks welcomed students back to campus Aug. 27 with its annual celebration of Party in the Park celebration at Constitution Park!
Students, staff and faculty gathered to explore what UAF has to offer. The event gave students an opportunity to learn about campus clubs and organizations, participate in activities and demonstrations, and connect with other members of the UAF community.
Party in the Park is particularly helpful for students new to campus, giving them opportunities to discover ways to get involved and connect with the UAF community throughout the school year.
“My favorite part of Party in the Park was probably just getting to meet everyone and being able to learn more about what UAF offers,” freshman Cameron Simoneaux said. “Everyone was so sweet and welcoming.”
“I’m ready for something new,” freshman Maura Harlan said. “I’m looking forward to new challenges and different things!”
With the upcoming winter season, it is a great idea to find a club to participate in and stay busy. If you missed Party in the Park, UAF’s website showcases many amazing clubs and organizations. Everyone has a place at UAF.
