UAF Art Gallery Draws Crowd for Annual Student Exhibition
Story and Photos By Amber McCain
The University of Alaska Fairbanks Art Department opened its Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition on April 17, showcasing a broad collection of student work that’s been created over the past academic year. The show, juried by guest artist Lindsay Saunders, features a wide range of media chosen by Saunders.
The opening reception on April 18 brought a lively crowd of students, faculty, and community members to UAF’s Art Gallery to view the impressive varieties of work. Pieces by students Sarah May Kline, Jay Pate, Mat Wooler, Kevin Carroll, Fin Ludwig, David McCain, Madison Troyer, and many others reflect the diverse perspectives and creative voices represented in the exhibition.
The show was on display through April 28 in Room 313 of the Fine Arts Complex, just off the Great Hall.
