The University of Alaska Board of Regents will hold a series of committee and full board meetings the week of February 16, with public testimony scheduled for Monday, February 16, at 4 p.m.
Public testimony allows community members and students to share their opinions or concerns with the board. Students and community members can participate by calling in, and written testimony can be submitted anytime via email to ua-bor@alaska.edu.
Committee meetings will be held throughout the week leading up to the full board session. The schedule includes:
Tuesday, Feb. 17: Audit and Finance Committee, 1:30–3:30 p.m. via Zoom; Facilities and Land Management Committee, 3:30–5 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 18: Academic and Student Affairs Committee, 3:30–5 p.m., in Dillingham
Thursday, Feb. 19–Friday, Feb. 20: Full Board Meeting, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Thursday, 8–11:30 a.m. Friday
The full board meeting may begin earlier on Wednesday if the committee discussions conclude ahead of schedule. Students and the public can watch the meetings live online at UA Board of Regents Live.
The board continues to prioritize its “Students First Action Agenda,” focusing on student recruitment, retention, and graduation rates, while closely monitoring budget and policy initiatives in Juneau.
During the full board session, the regents will review updates on the “Roadmap to Empower Alaska,” the UA Foundation’s scholarship awards and new platform, and the progress of the presidential search.
