The Nighthawks fought back in the third set, pushing the Nanooks into a nail-biting battle. UAF ultimately dropped the set 31–33, giving Northwest Nazarene momentum. The teams kept battling as the match progressed, with the Nighthawks eventually securing the 3–2 victory.
Following the match, Associate Head Coach Meagan Woods reflected on the team's consecutive five-set losses and the challenges ahead.
“2-5 set losses every week is really tough, but all we can do is just reset, come back to practice on Monday. Ready to get to work, and we have another tough road trip next week,” Woods said.
Despite the difficult stretch, the Nanooks will look to regroup in practice and prepare for their upcoming road trip.
The team dedicated the match to Breast Cancer Awareness in partnership with the Breast Cancer Detection Center of Alaska, raising awareness of an important cause alongside the team's competition.
