What excites you most about being here at UAF this year?

“I’m excited about all the different clubs that I can join and being part of a community,” Irena Baitsholts said on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025 during New Student Orientation.. First year students arrived on campus on Thursday, Aug. 21.

“I’m most excited about the closer and more tight knit community that UAF offers than any of the other universities that are available,” said Angelina Owens-Longoria.

Masek Kroening said, “The intramural sports. I really love basketball, I don’t know if I’ll get into the competitive scene, but the intramural seems like a good opportunity to play basketball,” Masek Kroening said during New Student Orientation on Aug. 22.
